Foxcatcher’ Loses AFI Fest Premiere in Move to 2014

The AFI Fest has confirmed to theWrap that Bennett Miller’s “Foxcatcher” will no longer have its world premiere on Nov. 8 at the Hollywood festival.

Sony Pictures Classics announced on Thursday night that it was delaying the release of the film from this December to 2014, to give Miller more time to finish the drama about the relationship between DuPont Chemical heir John du Pont (Steve Carell) and Olympic wrestlers Mark and Dave Schultz (Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo).
